Welcome to Binder Placeholders. By creating an account or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1.Accounts & Registration

To access certain features — including saving your card collection and building binders — you must create an account. When you register, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information (name, email address).
Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others.
Notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Authentication is handled by Clerk. By creating an account you also agree to Clerk's Terms of Service.

2.Data Storage

By using Binder Placeholders, you acknowledge that:

Account data (email address, name, session tokens) is stored by Clerk on our behalf.
Collection and binder data (owned card records, binder layouts) is stored in our database hosted on Supabase. This data is associated with your user account and persists across sessions and devices.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3.Email Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails necessary to operate the service, including:

Account verification and password reset emails.
Important security or service notifications.

Marketing emails — occasional messages about new features, product updates, or Pokémon TCG content — are sent only to users who have explicitly opted in. We will never add you to a marketing list without your consent.

You can opt in to marketing communications during sign-up or via your account settings.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Opt-out requests are honoured within 10 business days.
Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional communications required to maintain your account.

4.Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content: The design, code, and layout of Binder Placeholders are owned by us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Content: Pokémon, Pokémon character names, and card images are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company International. This website is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by them.

We use the TCGDex API to provide card data. We do not claim ownership of any card images or data provided by this API.

5.User Representations

By using Binder Placeholders, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum digital age of consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms of Use.
You will not use the website for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
Your use of the website will not violate any applicable law or regulation.

6.Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the website for any purpose other than that for which we make the website available. As a user, you agree not to:

Systematically retrieve data or other content from the website to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
Collect usernames or email addresses of other users by any means for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any authentication or security features of the website.
Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to any other person.
Engage in unauthorised framing of or linking to the website.
Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the website or the networks or services connected to the website.

7.Affiliate Program Disclosure

Binder Placeholders participates in the TCGPlayer affiliate program (operated through impact.com) and the eBay Partner Network. This means:

Affiliate Links: When you click "Buy on TCGPlayer" or "Buy on eBay" buttons, you may be directed through an affiliate tracking link. If you make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
No Influence on Content: Our participation in affiliate programs does not influence which cards we display. All card data is sourced from the TCGDex public API.
Your Choice: Using the buy buttons is entirely optional. You are free to visit TCGPlayer or eBay directly at any time.
Third-Party Terms: When you click through to any third-party site, you are subject to their terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites.

8.Limitation of Liability

The website and our services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. You agree that your use of the website and our services will be at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the website and your use thereof.

We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the website's content (including card data fetched from TCGDex) and we will assume no liability or responsibility for any errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content and materials, or any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the website.

9.Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page. Where required by law or where changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
